I have worked at Admiral for 2 years. I have learned a great deal over my time there but now is the time for change. With the world plunged into a global pandemic the opportunity arose to flip-turn my career path into one in Tech. Through the help of our 4 week _nology course I hope to gain a foundation knowledge in software development and then take these skills and build on them.
I have developed many skills over my time on the course and these are just a small snippet!
Over the first week I have learnt so much, I have gone from a complete novice to putting this quite nifty website together. I'm definitely not an expert... yet!
This week we have covered the basic principles in agile including, frameworks lik Scrum and Kanban, creating user stories and acceptance criteria. I have used this to put together my own Trello board. Click the logo to check it out!
This week we did an intro to Javascript and made some games! Take a look below!
In our last and final week we covered some Testing in the form TDD and compiling unit tests for our previously created content. We used Node.JS for this and even did some CI Pipline delivery on AWS of our projects.
